In this Interdisciplinary Performance Workshop Julie Caffey will lead participants through a series of fun and contemplative movement, writing and visual art exercises to celebrate the mid point. We''ll dance and story what has been, vision what is to come. This class is appropriate for all levels or writers, performers, radicals and contemplatives.

InterPlayce is the center of the InterPlay universe. The offices for Body Wisdom, Inc. are also located here. The building is at the corner of 23rd and Telegraph, one block north of West Grand. It is just a few blocks from the 19th Street Downtown Oakland BART station, and on several convenient bus lines. On-street parking is always available at night and metered during the day. Julie Caffey
Julie Caffey is an arts administrator/curator, educator and artist from the San Francisco Bay Area who joins us most recently from Chicago, Illinois. She is a founding member of Moving Stories Performance Ensemble and her original solo and ensemble work has been presented in Chicago, New York and the San Francisco Bay area to critical acclaim. Using the fundamentals she learned in InterPlay, Ms. Caffey began her performing arts life at the Marsh Theater in San Francisco and became a member of WingIt! Performance Ensemble, with whom she still performs. Her visual art has been shown in, SUNY, New York, the Corcoran, Washington D.C. and the Glass Curtain Gallery, Chicago. Ms. Caffey has been awarded numerous teaching and artist residencies and her training includes the InterPlay leadership program (first graduating class), Summer Training Congress at A.C.T. in San Francisco and she has an M.A. and M.F.A. from Columbia College Chicago in Interdisciplinary Art. Caffey is currently Theater manager at ODC Theater currently in residence at Project Artaud Theater.
