Italy, India and Bali
Right in your own backyard!
Elizabeth Gilbert’s phenomenal book was featured on Oprah and has stirred the hearts and imaginations of millions. Not all of us can take a year to travel to Italy, India, and Bali. But we can have a taste of these cultures, and experience a spiritual/sensual/mystical “tour” with others in our community in celebration of Valentine’s day and love in all it’s forms!
Like the 3 sections of the book, we’ll have a 3 hour cultural immersion experience in each of three “worlds” which will meet at 3 different locations across Nashville on Sat. evening, Sun. morning, and Sun. afternoon. Come and join in for one session, or all three, and meet some interesting people along the journey!
Starting at the Italian Market on Sat. evening we’ll have a FEAST of some of the best Italian foods in Nashville. We’ll be serenaded by live Italian music, by Kathy Chiavola and hear and learn a sprinkling of the lovely language by Patrizia of www.italianforfun.com , and Diane Saliba Ault and others will facilitate InterPlay with the themes of sensuality, and the body, and satisfying our “hungers”.
Then on Sunday morning we’ll travel to India at the Ganesh Temple in Bellvue (tentative) and have a time of DEVOTION with yoga, meditation, and kirtan singing led by some of Nashville’s gifted practitioners of these arts. After lunch of fine Indian food, we will travel to Bali at (location TBA) and have an afternoon session on Celebrating Love led by Masankho Banda, an internationally known Peace Artist, who’s been several times to Bali, and who brings global connections alive through storytelling, dance, and singing.
FOR ALL THREE SESSIONS the cost pr person is $109, the number of chapters in the book. This includes food, entertainment, supplies and some transportation if needed. The cost for just one session is $40.
PLUS- If you want to extend your travels, Masankho and Diane will be
offering a set of 3 workshops on Healing Relationships & Celebrating Love
on Sun, Mon & Tues nights- 6-9pm at The PlayRoom. See other flyer for
details on this mini-retreat. Room & board options available for those
who would like to come into town for this.
