Join International Interplay leaders Masankho Banda and Judy Shook for an enchanting, transformational and restful time on the Healing Island of Hawaii. This is an invitation for our body spirits to connect with sacred healing sites, creative fires and mother earth. The renewing waters and the luscious green growth will be the perfect backdrop for our stillness, stories and dance. In a place where the ancestor's names are still chanted, come and celebrate your own ancestry
During our time together we will:

For more than 30 years, Kalani has been a soulful place of refuge and renewal for international guests. Kalani is an educational nonprofit organization that celebrates Hawaii, nature, culture and wellness. Kalani is located on Hawaii Island, commonly known as the Big Island, and is bordered by tropical jungle and the Pacific Ocean.

Judy Shook
In Cynthia Winton-Henry's words, "Judy is a gifted spiritual leader who has put it all together and helps individuals and groups do the same. She brings both powerful joy and practical wisdom to her life and work."
A spiritual leader, Judy combines art, poetry, sacred dance, singing, creative ritual, and storytelling to enable people in new ways of relating with each other and the Divine. Shook is a graduate of Matthew Fox's Institute of Creation Spirituality and an ordained United Methodist minister. As of July 1, 2011, Shook is the pastor at Ukiah United Methodist Church. She has been leading Interplay workshops, classes and retreats since 1995.
Masankho Banda
Masankho is a multi - disciplinary Performing Artist, Certified InterPlay Leader, Educator and PeaceBuilder. He brings many unique perspectives to his work around the world. He learned the fine arts of storytelling and dance from his Malawian culture spending many long days and nights listening to stories and dancing to music that captivated his mind, shaped his being, nourished his soul and strengthened his spirit. Using performing arts Masankho motivates and inspires people of all ages to work together to bring about peace, social justice and cultural understanding. In 1997, he started UCanDanc—African Healing Arts to bring his passion for dance and storytelling to communities around the world. Masankho has been a Certified InterPlay Leader since 1999.
