Queer InterPlay Life Practice Program 2025 Online

A space for LGBTQIA2SP+ people to connect the dots of our own intergalactic constellations

January 31-April 8, 2025

Seeking inner knowing? Searching for connection between body, mind, heart, and spirit? Craving connection with other queer beings? Queer InterPlay is a space for LGBTQIA2SP+ people to connect the dots of our own intergalactic constellations, color outside the lines, and explore our questions, feelings, thoughts, and stories in affinity space with other queer beings.

Since 2022, Queer InterPlay has held monthly online drop-in sessions to foster and play with these connections in a warm and multi-generational space. In 2025, we’re excited to offer our first Queer Life Practice Program! All pronouns, and life stages welcome!

Life Practice Programs are a concentrated way of getting to learn and embody InterPlay’s tools, forms, and philosophy, which in turn, help us uncover and deepen into our body wisdom. As a cohort, we’ll get to engage these explorations alongside other queer and trans folks, spending weekly time as a “group body,” getting to notice what comes up for ourselves and witnessing each other across our diverse range of experiences. In between sessions, we’re invited to notice if, when, and how the InterPlay practices may be supportive to us in our daily lives.

A unique feature of Life Practice Programs (amongst other InterPlay events) are “focus sessions.” Focus sessions are an individualized opportunity to give a question or a topic some extended exploration time, using one or two InterPlay forms chosen by the participant and InterPlay leaders, while other Life Practice cohort-mates hold witness. Over our program’s ten weeks on Zoom, each participant will have three focus sessions. One past Life Practice graduate says, “Having a chance to do ‘big body stories’ in the focus sessions saved my life.”

Going through a transition and/or going away to college? Making a career change and/or just getting through one work day at a time? Caring for an elderly parent and/or trying to build intentional community? Anxious about the state of the world and/or trying to keep your head above waves of grief? Just trying to experience this one wild and precious life more fully and playfully? Come experience the magic spark of InterPlay that supports people side by side in all sorts of different places in our lives. While we welcome folks to sign up with a friend or friends, most will sign up knowing no one and leave having formed special bonds with others around the country and sometimes around the world!

Though you do not have to be interested in InterPlay leader training to take this Life Practice Program, participation in Life Practice is the first step towards becoming a certified InterPlay leader, should you choose to continue on in that direction. If you have questions about this please visit: InterPlay Leader Training Program.

Repeating the Program
Anyone who has previously completed the Life Practice Program is eligible for the repeater rate of $1,000 (including Secrets of InterPlay).

Financial Assistance
Diversity is a great gift in the InterPlay experience. Based on our commitment to Racial Equity and Transformation (read our statement here) and our understanding of other structural and personal inequalities that exist, Body Wisdom is committed to making our programs financially accessible.

Financial considerations need not be a barrier to your participation. Financial support and flexible payment plans are available. Please email office@interplay.org (or call 510/465-2797), or feel free to speak to one of the leaders of this program.

Life Practice Program Attendance
Community building is an integral part of the InterPlay system. To experience the most out of any Life Practice Program, we recommend that you attend all of the sessions. If you are considering becoming an InterPlay leader, completing the reading/writing and the 8 Core Element Self-Study and participating in a full 55 hours of the program will be necessary to complete this Life Practice Program (which includes the components of Secrets of InterPlay), which is the first step in becoming a certified InterPlay leader. If you have questions about this please visit: InterPlay Leader Training Program.

Agnotti facilitates workshops worldwide employing a variety of pedagogical techniques such as InterPlay, Theatre of the Oppressed, Devising, puppetry and clown. Currently they are based in Chicago where they lead workshops in schools, organizations and with social movements including as Co-Artistic Director of Opera-Matic, bringing participatory arts to public spaces. Recently, they have taken their work around the globe teaching InterPlay workshops in India, Germany, Australia, and Chile.
Leroy Petunia
Leroy Petunia (gay/gem/ger) has been following the breadcrumb trail of ger wildest birthrights since gay were wee. Leroy found InterPlay when ger roots began cracking through the plastic pot of external authority, and gay realized that joy was both the path and the compass of ger life's purpose. Gay believe play is the key to staying on that purpose-full path, as well as an offering in the Divine courtship of collective liberation.
