InterPlay leader Maryellen May hosts a monthly in person play group at Unity of Bloomington, Indiana - 4001 S. Rogers Street. There is no fee for this drop-in class, and donations to Unity are welcome. We gather on the first Wednesday of the month from 1-2p with optional socializing before and after. Occasional play sessions on evenings and weekends are also open, and can be found on our facebook page: facebook.com/InterPlayBloomington

There is plenty of parking in the lot behind the building. Walk up the stairs outside and come upstairs to the chapel. Accessible parking is available in the front of the building, where there are no stairs.

Maryellen May
Maryellen May is a mother, wife, video artist and certified InterPlay leader, who grew up in Bloomington. She earned her bachelor’s degree in Peace and Global Studies from Earlham College, and received her Master’s degree in Journalism from Indiana University. Maryellen has been dancing all of her life. She enjoys daily walks with the family dog (Bowie) and shares an office with a cat named Smokey. When Maryellen bumped into InterPlay in 2018, she believed that she had found a piece of her puzzle. Over the last five years, she has had the privilege of experiencing InterPlay with people from all over the world, both in person and on Zoom. She became a certified leader in 2021 and now hosts a monthly in person playgroup in her hometown of Bloomington, Indiana (which is also the hometown of the fantastic Phil Porter!)
