• We will play in the fertile field of imagination, story, song, breath, voice, movement, stillness and witness, held in a container of supportive community.
• We desire to cultivate an atmosphere of humor, laughter, silliness and fun while we play soulfully together.
• This program will offer opportunities to play with text (sacred & profane), poetry, and ritual, as well as our own creative expressions, while learning the “sneaky deep” InterPlay practices.
This program will be led by InterPlay Certified Leaders Lisa Laing and Wai-Chin Matsuoka.
The Elements of the Life Practice Program for Spiritual Sojourners
• The Secrets of InterPlay for Spiritual Sojourners, a two-weekend event, concludes the Life Practice Program for Spiritual Sojourners. It is an opportunity to immerse yourself in the InterPlay forms and tools in a supportive community. You can attend the Secrets of InterPlay for Spiritual Sojourners as a stand alone event or to complete the Life Practice Program.
A series of four Life Practice weekends where we learn the InterPlay tools & forms through play, presentations, and interactions. We will explore new creative possibilities through expressive arts, text and poetry with these forms and tools in this supportive community.
Three individual and group focus sessions during which you receive personal support from the program leaders and communal witness to learn how to access your body wisdom and learn how to apply a new tool/form to your choice of a situation that arises in your life.
Reading, writing, and sharing practices which will help us apply InterPlay insights to our own life, based on the InterPlay book Having It All: Body, Mind, Heart & Spirit Together Again at Last. These reflections can take many different forms: writings, letters, artwork, poetry, photography, video/audio recordings, etc.
The Core Elements InterPlay Self-Study, which will give you a more in-depth understanding of the InterPlay system.
A two-weekend Closing Retreat where we review and play with all the InterPlay tools and forms we learned over the course of this program. We will also take time to make rituals, share our unique learnings of how our spirituality has been nurtured, nourished and expanded through the InterPlay system, support each other through movements & sounds, and honor our bodyspirit, individually and communally, during the final Saturday in a celebratory way.

Program Cost
The cost of the InterPlay Life Practice Program is $1,950 (a $300 discount while online) and includes the cost of attending an online Secrets of InterPlay.
Repeating the Program
Anyone who has previously completed the Life Practice Program is eligible for the repeater rate of $1,000 including Secrets ($750 for the Life Practice weekends only).

Life Practice Program Attendance
Community building is an integral part of the InterPlay system. To experience the most out of a Secrets of InterPlay weekend or the Life Practice Program, we recommend that you attend all of the sessions. This immersion into the forms and tools of InterPlay is most effective when the group stays together over time. If you are considering becoming an InterPlay leader, participation and attendance for the full program, including attending a Secrets of InterPlay weekend, will be necessary to complete the Life Practice Program, which is the first step in becoming a certified InterPlay leader. Continuing Education Credit
Up to 55 CE credits (including the Secrets of InterPlay) for various healthcare and allied healthcare professions are available for those practicing throughout the U.S. and for educators only practicing in Illinois. CE pre-registration is required before the start of your event. Email Jane Siarny directly at interplaychicago@sbcglobal.net (not the office) to APPLY for CEUs. There is a charge of $25-$40 per program. CEUs are offered through Continuing Education Institute of Illinois or R. Cassidy Seminars.

Wai-Chin is Singaporean Chinese, who was transplanted to the U.S.A. 35 years ago when she came to do her graduate studies, and met her American-Japanese husband.
She’s a spiritual director who comes alive whenever there’s an opportunity to midwife what’s ready to be birthed. She’s particularly experienced in bringing forth new life from the ashes of change and transition. Mentored and credentialed as an Ensoulment Coach, and a certified InterPlay leader, Wai-Chin loves to weave spirituality, somatic practices, soul-tending and InterPlay tools and forms into a tapestry of Love and Play. She especially enjoys shaping these tapestries into retreats, ongoing Body Wisdom Playgroup, and soul care workshops specifically for social reform activists.
