As a Helping Professional could you use:

Practical tools to assist clients in accessing their own creative resources?

Trauma-informed techniques that enable clients, students, and ourselves to lessen anxiety, strengthen self-confidence, and learn to trust the wisdom of our bodies?

Body wisdom practices that encourage deeper, non-verbal connections?

A more playful approach to addressing tough issues in your workplace setting?

Art-based activities to release stress, create joy and elicit fun and healing laughter while the work is getting done?

More encouragement and support as you carry out the demanding assignments of your helping profession?

Somatic skills to help navigate the work of racial equity & transformation?

Community accountability for self-care while you practice community care?

The InterPlay Life Practice Program for Helping Professionals is an active, creative way to change your life, your work, and your world.

Learn to lead your life in a more embodied, playful way and receive self-care techniques rooted in the birthrights of movement, voice, story, connection and stillness.

Experience simple creative techniques for building bonds of attachment.

Develop improvisational skills to increase confidence in working with clients and speaking in front of groups.

Immerse yourself in the system of InterPlay—ideas and practices that can move you, and your clients, from where you are to where you would like to be.

Find freedom through movement, story, sound, and stillness, and discover creative ways to change what you want to change in your life. Learn somatic skills to use for yourself and your clients.

You may use this supportive, affirming community to help you shape your life in ways that are best for you and your work. You will get individual attention from the program leaders, and help to identify your personal and professional desires and intentions.

Leaders
Sharie Bowman

Sharie Bowman, MA, LMHC is a Mental Health Counselor and also InterPlay's Regional Coordinator for the Pacific Northwest.  In 2006, Sharie completed her training as an InterPlay leader and also received her degree in mental health counseling, so InterPlay and counseling have been woven together in her bodyspirit from the start.  She finds InterPlay to be foundational in building and maintaining her personal resilience, as well supporting her work with clients.  In her private practice she regularly weaves InterPlay’s life-enhancing forms and philosophies with counseling wisdom to help individuals and families thrive.

Prior to 2006, Sharie worked as a high school math teacher and found InterPlay to be the best Teacher Training she ever received.  The improvisational skills that she developed immediately brought more play, creativity, and expression to her teaching as well as to classroom management.

Now Sharie finds great joy in bringing her organizational and instructional skills to the InterPlay classroom, and she often leads the foundational InterPlay Life Practice Program and mentors new leaders. She relishes sharing the joy of InterPlay far and wide, and supporting each participant in integrating InterPlay into their own lives!

Rosemary Senjem
Rosemary (Rosie) Senjem is an InterPlay Leader in Minnesota. Her InterPlay journey began in 2000 on her path to recover from back surgery and divorce. She has applied InterPlay to community organizing, workshop leadership, logo design process, business coaching, grandparenting, and more. She is passionate about supporting resilience in helping professionals with InterPlay.
Jiling Lin
Jiling Lin is an acupuncturist, herbalist, and yoga teacher in Ventura, CA. She empowers wild, creative, spirited health through embodied classes, clinics, and more holistic resources. Jiling specializes in treating pain, trauma, and complex chronic conditions. Passionate about living life as art, Jiling brings years of outdoor education, improvisational dance, and global adventures to her Earth- centered Interplay leadership.
Nancy Pfaltzgraf
Nancy Pfaltzgraf has been joyfully leading InterPlay classes and retreats in local and national settings since 2006. Having discovered InterPlay and the Life Practice Program helped her discover ease and joy in her professional life as the pastor of progressive Christian congregations. Her experience as an RN and a Hospice Chaplain has also given her a unique perspective on the way InterPlay can relieve stress and empower people in the helping professions to live and work with more grace and ease. Since leaving pastoral ministry it has been her delight to continue to offer her gifts through Body Wisdom - Deep Play groups for helping professionals, Retreats and Untensives, InterPlay Life Practice programs, Online Body Wisdom Tools classes, online classes and untentsives focusing on the Move to Greatness wisdom and an Online Interfaith Dance Chapel. Nancy holds coaching certification using the FEBI® [Focused Energy Balance Inventory] and Appreciative Inquiry and delights in both one-to-one and group Soul Coaching. Although her home base is in the Chicagoland area, her mastery of online communication forms allows her to serve people wherever they are. All this allows her to fulfill her life mission to "lead with love, follow with trust and dance with joy with those ready to step into the life-giving rhythms of grace".,
