Julie Caffey is an arts administrator/curator, educator and artist from the San Francisco Bay Area who joins us most recently from Chicago, Illinois. She is a founding member of Moving Stories Performance Ensemble and her original solo and ensemble work has been presented in Chicago, New York and the San Francisco Bay area to critical acclaim. Using the fundamentals she learned in InterPlay, Ms. Caffey began her performing arts life at the Marsh Theater in San Francisco and became a member of WingIt! Performance Ensemble, with whom she still performs. Her visual art has been shown in, SUNY, New York, the Corcoran, Washington D.C. and the Glass Curtain Gallery, Chicago. Ms. Caffey has been awarded numerous teaching and artist residencies and her training includes the InterPlay leadership program (first graduating class), Summer Training Congress at A.C.T. in San Francisco and she has an M.A. and M.F.A. from Columbia College Chicago in Interdisciplinary Art. Caffey is currently Theater manager at ODC Theater currently in residence at Project Artaud Theater.
