I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and Marriage and Family Therapist with a graduate degree from Texas Woman's University in Denton, Texas. I have conducted in-service training for mental practitioners on trauma, dissociation, posttraumatic stress disorder and medical documentation. Additionally, I have held workshops and seminars on grief, spirituality, parenting and communication skills. Speaker Presentations for the International Society for the Study of Dissociation's Annual Conference, include talk on the benefits of bodypsychotherapy for dissociative and traumatic stress disorders, entitled The Logic of Bodywork for Dissociation and Traumatic Stress, and one on about the Heart Cycles, entitled The Cycle of Compassion: A way out for dissociation and traumatic stress. My clinical experience includes extensive work with both groups of adults and adolescents. I am published in The Radix Journal, The Dallas Recovery Magazine and The Southwest Morticians Journal.
I am certified as a Right Use of Power facilitator, which is a method for understanding and working with our power both as professionals and as human beings in a way that is both ethical and enriching. My undergraduate degree is in Acting/Directing. I have taught a variety of acting classes and workshops and performed in theater, film and video.Speaking topics include; Cycles of the Heart, a way out of despair, Un-complicating Communication, Owning Your Life!, Finding Compassion in an Egocentric World, Rescuing Ourselves from Rescuing, No Villains - Breaking Free from Abuse, Playful Living,
