Step into InterPlay's Leader Training Program
Secrets of Leading InterPlay
Tom Henderson and
January 25-27, Friday evening- Sunday afternoon
The Secrets of Leading InterPlay is a multi-day workshop that provides an overview of the InterPlay® system and how it works. It covers the underlying structure and philosophy of InterPlay. How are the forms structured? How do they work together? What is the ultimate outcome or effect of using InterPlay forms? How do you figure out which forms to do at what time? What is the nature of the relationship between leader and participant? How do you deal with people you find challenging? The workshop includes presentation, interaction, and play.
The Secrets of Leading InterPlay is a core component of the InterPlay Leader Training Program that leads to certification as an InterPlay leader. It is open to those who have completed or are in the process of completing the InterPlay Life Practice Program and have enrolled in or are considering enrolling in the InterPlay Leader Training Program. Tom is a certified InterPlay leader, community artist, organization development consultant and retired pharmaceutical chemist. With his wife, Ginny Going, he is co-owner of Colleagues, a business dedicated to enabling individuals and organizations to thrive. Ginny and Tom also co-direct Off the Deep End Ensemble, an InterPlay performance company founded in 1997.
As a recovering serious person, I consider InterPlay my 12-step program and my life practice for having more ease and grace. I've worn a variety of vocational hats in my life and currently describe myself as a community artist, bodyspirit mentor and InterPlay leader. I love offering people the "big body" tools of InterPlay for telling their stories, especially people on the margins of our communities. I am also passionate about embodied spirituality, engaging people in prayer and worship forms that include and honor the body through movement, stories and song. Currently I co-lead a SpiritPlay group for clergy and spiritual leaders, an InterPlay for Women group and a Deepening with InterPlay group for InterPlay leaders., Along with my partner and husband Tom Henderson I teach, lead retreats and perform with Off The Deep End Ensemble, the InterPlay-based performance group that we started in 1997.
